We built a Highgrove by Ryan Homes (RH) a few years ago. We would like to share this information with our friends, family and those looking to build with RH. This is an unbiased account of the process, the Good, Bad and Ugly. We hope that others will learn something through our experience and be able to use the information to make their home building dreams come true. Please enjoy our Blog and feel free to provide us your feedback and comments.

Day 21: 2nd Floor Framed
We had our second floor framed today. They have a few more interior partition walls to put in but should be done within a few hours tomorrow. They also put up most of the moisture barrier wrap and the reflective insulation on the exterior walls.
They expect to have all the roof trusses up tomorrow and roof sheathing the next day.
It's really starting to come to life and from a distance we can start to see the general dimensions of the rooms. Thank goodness for high powered zoom lenses on our camera.
Here are some pictures.
Were definately living vicariously through you our SR told us that they are waiting for the ground to dry I just handed my hubby the phone when she said that. I am so sad I refuse to go by the lot until next week! However your progress is so great I am enjoying seeing your journey go so quickly! And you have so many windows the natural light will be amazing in your home.
ReplyDeleteI know what you are going through. We were doing the same thing. I also had someone at work building with RH and they were about 3 weeks ahead of us. So I would hear about their progress and get my fix. I'm sure there is some sort of illness or clinical name for what we have but the only cure is for your house to start and for you to see progress.
DeleteAwesome!!
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. You are so close to having the outside done.
ReplyDeleteroof trusses today?
ReplyDeleteRoof trusses did go up today (May 9th). They had to wait for a crane to get them up there.
